SharePoint Fabric UI Icon Reference

In my recent video on building a SharePoint Resource Center/Knowledge Base, I included a link to one of the online Fabric UI icon galleries that I've used for years. Unfortunately, it seems that the site is no longer available, and a number of the other icon galleries have disappeared too.

Rather than leaving people without a good reference, I thought I'd put together this gallery of commonly used SharePoint Fabric UI (MDL2) icons. The icons are grouped into categories, and each one includes the exact icon name you can use with the iconName property in your SharePoint JSON formatting.

Simply find the icon you want, copy its name, and use it in your library as I have showing the video.

This is only intended as a quick reference for now. In a future post, I'll show you how to build this searchable icon gallery inside SharePoint yourself so you can browse, search and reuse icons directly from your own tenant.
