1. Creating your new site

Before we dive into building your SharePoint site, we need to create one! In many organizations, site creation may be restricted, so you may need to request a new communication site from IT.

If you have permission, you can create one yourself through SharePoint Home or the SharePoint Admin Center. In this module, we’ll walk through the step-by-step process of setting up a communication site, explaining key options like site templates, naming conventions, and permissions.

Once your site is created, you’ll be ready to move on and start designing an engaging and functional experience!
